Reno was here at promptly 0900 in the morning. Though he had actually gotten there earlier to prepare, he didn't mind if students were a bit late. That just gave him an excuse to give them extra work- mostly running around the meadow in lapse.
Oh, and this time he has some weights made out of lead he had made in the workshop. Better be prepared if you mess up!
--- Forest Island
Secretly, Reno darted around the island looking for berries. He had a nice bucketful already, yummy, delicious, juicy looking berries too. These were intended for some of Rusty and his finest wine, made with their revised still that was conveniently hidden somewhere near by. Wouldn't want one of the kids or someone else to stumble on it.
Whistling, Reno felt pretty good. The punch back at the Blind Date had done its job, giving everyone a good time, and it... gave him a strangely satisifed feeling. Their efforts were appreciated, you know? Who cares how long it took to make the stuff anymore. This was a sure ticket.
---Morgue
There was a reason why Reno had chosen this place. Nobody except the creeps came down here, not liking the reminder of death, even though in this place death was a joke. Chances are that people wouldn't be here to overhear what he was going to tell Tseng.
The chill from the freezer units had him rubbing his hands together, but he wasn't sure if that wasn't also partly nervousness. He had felt sure of himself and confident when Tseng wasn't here, like he knew exactly where to go and what to do, but now... he didn't know anymore. Tseng was the one person he actually did have to answer to here, his old loyalties flaring up, though months had weakened them slightly.
Shiva knew how Rusty was feeling, if Sparky himself was this antsy. Maybe he should go talk to him after this...
Either way, it was time.
---Cafeteria
He had started taking his meals regularly here again, after the food stock he and the others had built up ran out, though he still had some leftover nutribars hidden at the bottom of his closet.
That wasn't to say he trusted the food here at all, always opting to make something for himself instead of eating what was served. Usually it was a sandwich with the most innocuous ingredients he could find. This month's menu looked like something out of the Gi Tribe Family Dining arena, and he knew what kind of food those people had eaten.
His mood was somber during breakfast, quiet and not prone to talking. This was a trend ever since the ill fated plot of Ganondorf's. It had hit Reno pretty hard, sending him into that same laid back attitude he had acquired right after returning to Shinra. He was a man with many things on his mind, not a one nice.

Meadow
"They look painful..." He approached Reno with a small frown. "What are they?"
no subject
"So glad you asked. They're weights. And you can try them out for us." Walking over to one of the weights, he then picked one up with deceptively easy effort, then walked over to Shion. "You lift it this way," he said, demonstrating by holding it straight out from his body, then slowly bending his arms up until the weight met his chest, then back down. "Give me... oh, about thirty of those."
no subject
"Thirty?" Shion went over and bent down to lift the weight. He pulled, gritting his teeth, and managed to lift it a couple of centimeters before his grasp failed and it clattered to the floor.

After all this time, Shion should have been stronger. He was a little disappointed, but felt responsible for not giving the boy enough strength exercises. "I want thirty more at dinner and thirty when you wake up. Whenever you use the terminal or go to the library. You got a lot of work to do, buddy."
no subject
"Okay Reno..." He dropped down and gritted his teeth, his arms shaking after the third push up.

Meadow
Having risen early himself, Cross had arrived at 9 on the dot to see the red haired man setting up. "Need any help?" Cross called as drew closer.
Re: Meadow
Re: Meadow
Cross did notice that look the man was giving him and curiously looked back. The question, however, just made him shrug. "I usually get up this early to practice. I have to if I want to be able to do the stuff I want to during the day and night," the boy answered. "Why? Is it weird or something?"

Floor 25
"S-Sorry I'm late. I, um...I-I guess it's been longer than I thought, since college."
Re: Floor 25
"Well, ya know what being late means." He rubbed a hand through his hair, making a quick decision. "All right. Give me twenty sit-ups after your warm up is finished. If ya need balance while you do 'em, I just got some weights in." He waved a hand at the carefully made lifting weights.
Sorry for the wait! Busy week.
...wait, warm up? That throws her, for a second. After all, Tara's only experience with any sort of physical training up to this point is Buffy, and the Slayer never seems to need to warm up.
...in the end, she tries for a few quick yoga forms, and they seem to do the trick for getting her muscles to un-tense. From there, she grabs a few weights, manages to figure out that they're probably supposed to go onto her feet, and sets off for twenty sit ups.
She'll slow down markedly at eleven and struggle at fifteen, but will make it in the end.

Morgue
Things had been odd, since he'd arrived here. The whole situation was odd, really, but there were so many different people here that Tseng had not expected to see. One of the other Turks, Professor Hojo, Fuhito... Zack... two Renos... and while there were others he had just met, Tseng was finding that there really was not much to do, once you've explored as many of the floors as possible.
He didn't like not doing anything. It bothered him, leaving a feeling in the back of his mind that continued to make him look for something more to do. If they couldn't escape, then they could live better. He was used to giving his body and soul to causes; this would be no different. Once he arrived at the morgue, he put his hands into his pockets.
"Reno."

Setting them down on a gourney, Reno poured a glass for each of them. While he didn't have any cigarettes, he could at least give Tseng a good stiff drink, properly chilled.
"Before you go jumping into the Fellowship, I got something important to tell ya, chief." He got straight to the point after that. "There's another group here, they're called the Alliance or the Brotherhood, whichever suits your fancy. Some seriously evil, fucked up individuals are in it. I happen to be a member."
He held up his hand. "It ain't what you think, Tseng. I got sucked into it by accident and now I'm feeding Zelda and Gandalf information. Spying for them. But Ganondorf's suspicious of me and if he knew anyone affiliated with me was with the Fellowship I'd get all sorts of awkward questions."
no subject
That said, he wasn't going to answer anything until he had a drink. Picking up the glass, he listened, smelling the alcohol and taking a sip. No use in drinking it all at once. It might not have been good, but it deserved to be savored. That plan went out the window as soon as Reno said he was a member of an evil organization.
"And you couldn't have thought to tell me this information sooner?" His voice was a chilly as the room they were in.
no subject
Huffing, he leaned against the table and took a long drink out of his glass. "It's not like I asked for this. It ain't easy skulking around this place, playing up both sides, and it's damned stressful."

Looks good!

no subject
Hey Xion, you want some?
[He didn't mind cooking for her, as long as it was simple. Burning water was long over at least.]
no subject
[Seriously, she was not going to pass up an offer to skip the Tower's food this month.]
Should I get a plate or a bowl or...
