Not as planned
Characters: Anybody on Floor 101
Setting: Floor 101, in the immediate aftermath of event start
Format: Any you like
Summary: A general reaction log for the immediate aftermath of this for those characters who didn't get trapped in the dorm rooms. The post will start with a prompt for Dani herself, but if anybody wants to make use of this log as well rather than spam the comm, feel free. Also a reminder that powers do not work on floor 101 since a lot of us forgot orz
Warnings: Nothing yet, I'll change it if this does
[In all the chaos, it was easy for Dani to slip downstairs to try to change into ghost form without being really noticed. Except... she can't. The telltale rings never appear. That's right - she realizes - this floor doesn't allow her to use powers. Frustratedly, she hops back to the glowing stair going up. By the time she gets there, though, it's already blocked. She tries, in a last ditch effort, to phase through even without going ghost, but it's still no use. Besides, she feels a strange pressure on her hands as she tries - almost like something's pushing back]
I can't get through!
[At last she gives it up, staring up at the ceiling frustratedly. This was the first time something real had happened since she arrived, something she could actually do something about, and now she was trapped down here?]

Of course, that leaves her unable to get back up when she realizes some of her closest comrades didn't follow, and as she watches others attempt and fail to clear the debris blocking the way, it does not appear like that fact will change any time soon. Arthur, Arturia, Enoch, Asch... could they be...?
No.
Riki protected them all from the shrapnel, right? And... even if he didn't, Zo has his hold on their souls. They will be fine. She has to believe that, in order to focus on what must be done now.]
We need to clear the way to the infirmary. We have injured, and unless I am mistaken regarding the date, we will start falling unconscious due to missing our collar checks soon. If we are to figure out how to reach our friends again, we need to at least be mobile.
[Standing near the downward exit of the hanging garden, she speaks resolutely to whoever will listen.]
If you would join me, please come now. It is a long way down, and time is precious.

I can make us a short cut. We just need to get to a floor where powers work.
[There are some risks to that, of course, but those are definitely out-weighted by the present concerns.]

It's the same thing with me, actually. You guys just have to promise not to freak out when you see it.
[She's a bit more open about her ghost powers than Danny, but mostly because her livelihood has never really depended on keeping it a secret. Besides, this Tower was different from Earth in a lot of ways, she was already getting the feeling]

[ He just leans back against a nearby tree and cooly evaluates the lot of them; some of them he recognizes from that trip two months previous, and the rest... he's not going to discount because of their age, anyway. ]
I probably qualify as well, though less in terms of short cuts and more in rate of travel. How many can each of us take with them?
no subject
If they do, then it's on their own heads.
[She crosses her arms, examining them.]
I have some healing ability, but like he said: We need to get to a lower floor. Until then I can clear a path should that have attracted any unwanted attention.

[She can't say she explores the upper Tower much, outside of this floor and the dorms, but the trend of power-nulling floors seems to indicate they are mostly those that open to the outside. Zelda nods, approvingly, at the group that is beginning to gather. This might not be as difficult as she thought, should enough assist.]
I can warp as well, but it is difficult to extend to others, and is meant more for short range travel anyway.
[Using someone else's method would likely be quicker and less magic consuming than repeated use of Farore's Wind. Last thing she needs is to fall over once they've reached the infirmary.]

[Yeah, Riku may or may not have memorized just which floors block powers, mostly because those are not places he wants to get stuck at night, not when he's usually out and about to fight monsters.
As for capabilities, well...]
I don't have a limit to my range. I don't think there really is a limit to how many people I can take either, but it will probably get more risky the larger the group is.

I might not be able to assist with transportation, but I can at least help with monsters.
[There's another thought that occurs to her too.]
Checking on the cafeteria might not be a bad idea too. [An army marches on its stomach after all, and in the middle of a crisis, one has to start thinking about logistics too.]

...I-I'll help h-h-however y-you need me. [Rick worries his lip and flushes with embarrassment.] ...M-Maybe not s-so much w-w-while my p-powers a-aren't w-w-working, but...I'll do w-what I c-can.
no subject
I can't clear anything without powers active. I can kind of shift rock, but I can't do serious damage to it.
[He's got to get them out though...]
no subject
[She may not have done it herself, but she knows that Danny's done it and so can Vlad, and if Danny can do it then in theory she can too. Simple enough right?]
So... just one floor down, right?
[Somebody's just a little bit impatient.]
no subject
[ He trails off, glancing warily at the doors on the far side of the floor. ]

[When the power goes out, so does the revival process, she figures. And they cannot particularly afford to lose people in this kind of situation.]
We can divide into groups of three, then, if no one objects. We should be able to cover more ground in a short amount of time that way.

[Her gaze lingers on the elevator doors for a moment, wondering if it may be worth the risk... but at a time like this, they can't afford potential casualties. If she sees reason to believe it's still working she'll try it, but for now it's the stairs.]
There's no way we're tunneling through with our bare hands, and we shouldn't risk breaking our weapons I think. If this takes more than a day, we're gonna be up here at night and then we're going to need every weapon we can get.
no subject
[Now that they've decided on a course of action and she's able to contribute to it, she's cheering considerably.]
So who's with me? We'll have to walk on the floors with no powers but that shouldn't take too long.
[Not to mention it will give her time to ask some questions of the people who've been here longer. Like what happened last time there were explosions.]
no subject
As far as tools or weapons go, I can craft more and reform them once they're spent if we're on a floor with powers, so that, at least, won't be an issue. [ Thank you, malleable Nasod Weapons Material, even if you're only made of film.
Spades aren't too different in shape from spears, he could probably do it with a bit of effort. ]
